Old Chatham Golf Club is bringing the Titleist FittingsWorks Tour Van Experience to the club on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as a special attraction for its members.
Members can attend one of six tour fittings in scheduled one-hour blocks during the visit. The Titleist FittingWorks Tour Van Experience combines a comprehensive, high-level fitting with on-site club building to provide you with a tour-level fitting experience.
The van’s expert fitters are equipped with launch monitors and an expansive range of fitting clubs to help you optimize your driving performance, make your iron play more precise, improve your wedge play and optimize your overall set composition. The tour van technicians provide assembly, personalization and repair services that allow them to make golf clubs purchased during the stop on-site to your specifications.
The customized club fittings include:
Drivers – To maximize distance and accuracy by selecting a driver that helps you achieve ideal launch conditions, this fitting will test and analyze your launch conditions and recommend the proper Titleist driver model, loft, lie angle, shaft, shaft flex, shaft length and SFT (SureFit Tour) hosel setting for you.
Long Game – This optimizes the 3-wood, establishes the most playable long iron, and provides key knowledge of carry distances, trajectory and ball stopping ability required to attack par-5s in two, long par-4s and difficult par-3s for lower scores. In addition, the long game fitting will improve your course management skills by providing better knowledge and understanding of proper club selection.
Irons – This provides you with the best Titleist iron model and custom club specifications to increase performance through accuracy, shot making ability and distance control. The iron fitting will test the player’s iron launch conditions to identify the best model and then dynamically fit length, lie angle, shaft type, shaft flex, grip type and grip size custom specifications.
Wedges – To provide the best combination of Vokey Design wedges to optimize your short game performance and better control yardage gaps, the wedge fitting will match loft, bounce, sole design, and club face spin characteristics with your swing technique. Consistent yardage gaps combined with optimal control and spin will allow you to better capitalize on scoring opportunities with your wedges.
This event marks the first appearance of the Titleist FittingsWorks Tour Van Experience in the Research Triangle. Spaces are limited and available only to members of Old Chatham Golf Club.
